Remove text that is part of the video image
VideoTextRemover processes text embedded in a video's picture: burned-in subtitles, captions, labels and timestamps. It uses cloud AI to reconstruct the covered region from surrounding pixels and frames rather than placing a blur box over the text or cropping the frame. It is a browser service, so there is no desktop installer, local model or GPU setup in this listing.
Choose automatic detection or a specific area
Subtitles mode looks for subtitle and caption lines, while All text also looks for titles, labels and other words. You can limit those detection modes to selected areas to preserve text elsewhere in the frame. Select area works differently: it removes whatever is inside the boxes, not only detected letters. The publisher allows up to six boxes and expands their boundaries, so inspect the selection before processing nearby details.
Select a start and end point if you only need a short segment. Uploads accept MP4 or MOV, with a stated maximum of 500 MB and ten minutes per file. Results are MP4, at the input resolution up to 1080p; higher-resolution footage is returned at 1080p. Those upload limits are not a promise of ten free minutes.
The monthly free allowance has eligibility rules
Google sign-in is required to upload and process a video. Eligible accounts receive 30 seconds of processing each month, with no card required for that allowance. One credit covers one second of the selected segment, rounded up; unused free seconds expire rather than rolling over. Additional use requires paid credits or a subscription.
The published terms restrict free monthly seconds to accounts created in the US, Canada, the UK, the EU/EEA, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Israel and the UAE. There is a limit of two qualifying accounts per network each month, while the account terms allow one account per person. Check the current pricing and eligibility before relying on the free tier; it is not universally available.
Cloud processing and realistic output expectations
The chosen footage is uploaded to the service and sent to its AI processing provider. The privacy policy says uploads and results are removed after seven days. Download any result you want to keep within that period. This is not offline editing or a promise that sensitive material never leaves your device.
Reconstruction can leave traces, especially with large text, motion or a busy background. The publisher estimates roughly ten to fourteen minutes for a thirty-second 1080p clip; this is not a performance measurement by Freeware Catalog. We reviewed the public workflow and terms without signing in, uploading footage, purchasing credits or independently testing output quality.
If subtitles can be switched off in a player, they are a separate track and do not need this kind of AI removal. Use footage you own or are permitted to edit. The service prohibits removing ownership-identifying watermarks, logos and credits; text removal does not grant rights to someone else's video.
