Report a problem with a listing

Write to [email protected] and include:

  • the address of the page (/programs/... or /category/...),
  • what is wrong: dead download link, wrong version, wrong licence, extra software in the installer, misleading description,
  • anything that helps us reproduce it, such as the version you installed or the file name.

Reports about installers that add unwanted software are treated as urgent, because that is exactly what this catalog exists to prevent.

Suggest a program

Send the program name, the official download page and one sentence on why it deserves a place. Programs that only exist behind a download portal cannot be added: we need a vendor page to verify the file against.

Removal and correction requests

If you are the developer or a rights holder and want a listing corrected or removed, write from an address on the project domain and say what should change. We do not require a formal notice for a simple correction.

What we cannot help with

  • Technical support for a program listed here. Ask the vendor; they know their software.
  • Licence keys, serials or activation help for paid software.
  • Removing a listing because it competes with a paid product. The catalog lists free alternatives on purpose.

Frequently asked questions

What should I include in a report?

The page address, what is wrong and, if possible, the version you tried. For an unsafe installer, the filename and the hash are ideal.

How fast do you answer?

Broken download links and unsafe installers are handled first, usually within two working days. General questions can take longer.

I am a rights holder. How do I request a removal?

Write from a domain that belongs to the rights holder, name the program and the page, and state what should change. We remove or correct the listing and reply with what was done.
