Liveify combines browser-based photo and animation utilities with a separate iPhone application. The web tools provide useful free GIF, still-image and HEIC conversions. This listing covers those browser tools; it does not present an iOS-only workflow as a downloadable Windows or Mac application.
Pick the browser conversion that matches your file
The public site provides conversion and preview routes for common photo and animation tasks. Open the appropriate tool, select a supported source file and inspect the available output. The site's published input and trimming limits apply, and browser codec support can affect the result. Keep the original file so that conversion does not become your only copy.
An ordinary GIF or video is not the same as an Apple Live Photo. Creating and saving a video or GIF as a real Live Photo currently requires the Liveify iPhone app. Selecting a file on the website does not automatically transfer that selection into the app. If the goal is simply a GIF, still image or HEIC conversion in a desktop browser, use the corresponding web tool instead.
Free utilities do not mean unlimited AI generation
The basic browser conversions are separate from AI animation and credit-based features. AI requests send the selected image to the service and can require credits and sign-in. The app also has its own export allowances and purchases. Check the current offer for the specific feature you intend to use; no unlimited free AI allowance or recurring free Live Photo export quota is assumed here.
Understand when a result leaves the device
The privacy policy says browser previews and format conversions process the source locally. When signed in, supported results can be uploaded to a cloud library. AI generation sends the selected image to the service. Local processing for one step is therefore not a promise that every workflow is offline.
