Inside ImageWise

Free image edits, with optional AI tools
ImageWise combines everyday image editing with an optional AI workspace. Its free local tools are the reason for this listing: you can prepare images for a website, presentation or shared document without purchasing AI credits. AI translation, generation and enhancement are separate credit-based features.
Resize pictures for a specific destination
The image resizer accepts common image formats and offers width, height and aspect-ratio controls. Preserving the aspect ratio helps avoid stretched pictures when you need a smaller image or a particular output size. The publisher identifies this operation as local browser processing.
Reduce file size and make simple edits
The image compressor provides a quality control for reducing file size. Other free tools cover cropping, flipping, merging, format conversion and metadata removal. Choose a tool according to the task rather than treating every image operation as an AI request.
Know which features use credits
AI tools can translate text inside images or generate and modify visuals, but those features use paid credits. Translation output still needs a review, particularly for small labels, names and prices. This is not a promise of unlimited free AI translation.
Local editing and AI uploads are different
According to the privacy policy, local edits do not send the image to ImageWise unless you separately upload it or choose an AI feature. AI processing transmits the relevant image and instructions to the service and its providers. Check that distinction before using confidential material.
- Best for
- Preparing images for websites, documents and sharing with free browser tools.
- Good to know
- Local editing tools are free; AI features use paid credits and send content for remote processing.
Choosing between two common tasks
Use resizing when a picture needs different dimensions. Use compression when the dimensions can stay the same but the file needs to be smaller. Inspect the output before replacing your original.
For sensitive images, select a tool labeled as local processing and read the publisher's privacy policy before choosing an AI operation.
