Time Overlay creates timer graphics that you can place above footage in an editor or use in a streaming layout. It previews and assembles the asset in the browser. You do not upload the underlying video just to generate a countdown, and this listing is for the web generator rather than a promised future desktop application.
Choose an output for the receiving application
The service offers transparent timer assets, including PNG sequences and WebM with alpha. A PNG sequence keeps individual frames and is the documented fallback for editing workflows where video transparency is unreliable. WebM can be convenient for OBS, but importing a file successfully depends on the receiving application, its version and codec support.
A transparent preview does not establish that every editor will preserve the alpha channel. Test a short export in the target workflow before building a longer sequence. Retain the original frames if you may need to change the delivery format later. Long or high-resolution exports can use substantial browser memory and may fail on a constrained device.
Free core and optional Pro features
The core generator is free. The publisher offers an optional one-time Pro purchase for longer per-export duration, 60 fps and a signature template pack. Those extras are separate from the free core; the paid unlock is stored in the browser where the purchase was verified and can be restored using the checkout email. Check the current generator and terms for the applicable export cap rather than assuming unlimited duration.
The terms permit generated timer output in personal and commercial video, streaming, presentation and client projects. That permission covers rendered assets, not ownership or redistribution of the site's software, brand or documentation.
Local export and website tracking are different
The privacy policy describes local preview and export, alongside analytics and optional advertising. Diagnostic events may include format, duration, resolution and error categories; the policy says generated frames and underlying footage are not included in those events. We reviewed public documentation without purchasing Pro or testing an export in a video editor.
