Find a useful topic for a conversation, draft or speech
Random Topic Generator helps when the difficult part is choosing what to talk or write about. Its browser tools draw from a curated topic library, with separate routes for conversation starters, creative writing, speaking practice and debate. It does not need a desktop installation or an AI subscription to select a prompt.
Narrow the choice before generating
Choose the purpose and category, then adjust the available depth and number of suggestions. A light conversation opener calls for a different question from a structured debate or a reflective writing exercise. You can request a small batch, keep a useful result and generate another selection when the first topic does not fit your audience.
The related tools provide a way to turn a prompt into an activity: prepare a short speech, build a writing draft or organise opposing sides of a discussion. Timed practice and review features can help structure a session, but the site is not a teacher, assessment service or guarantee of better speaking results.
Save work before clearing browser data
Favorites, recent topics, drafts and completed speech reviews use browser storage. They do not sync to an account; clearing the site's data removes them. A shared page link opens the tool without transferring a private draft or selected question. Download important work rather than relying on a single browser profile.
Optional microphone recording starts after permission is granted. The privacy policy says recordings are held in memory for playback or download and are not uploaded for transcription or scoring. Leaving or reloading can discard a recording. Browser read-aloud is different: the selected speech service may process text remotely.
Free tools with separate website analytics
The public topic tools are available without a paid plan. The site discloses optional Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, as well as cookieless Plausible measurement and hosting logs. Local drafts do not mean that visiting the website creates no network traffic. Our review covers the public tools and published policy; we did not record audio or assess practice outcomes.
- Best for
- Finding an icebreaker, writing prompt, debate question or short speaking exercise.
- Good to know
- Saved work stays in this browser. Clearing site data can remove drafts; microphone recording is optional and browser read-aloud may use a remote service.
Sources and local data
Open the official topic tools and read the privacy and local-data explanation. Saved work belongs to the current browser profile; keep a separate copy of anything important.
